About Nortonville, KY - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Found in Hopkins County, Kentucky, Nortonville owes its entire existence to the railroad industry. Named for Eckstein Norton, who helped to create the Elizabethtown & Paducah Railroad, Nortonville quickly became a popular stop on the Evansville, Henderson, and Nashville Railroad. Nortonville is currently home to about 1,200 residents, many of whom commute to the nearby communities of Madisonville, Hopkinsville, or Greenville for work.

Due to the small size of Nortonville, there aren’t any major attractions or things to do here. However, locals enjoy the varied businesses they have right at their fingertips. There are a few popular restaurants in the community, including Dixie Pan Restaurant, Tootsie’s Diner, and Cat’s Den. Specialty shops can be found in Nortonville at Youniquely Yours, Awards Unlimited, and Rk’s Smoke Shack.

Fortunately, the close proximity of Nortonville to other communities provides for more cultural opportunities. The Pennyroyal Area Museum in Hopkinsville is a popular destination for history enthusiasts, and Melody Lanes and Madisonville Miners Baseball are great date area date night ideas.

The weather in Nortonville is a great example of the U.S. humid subtropical zone. Residents can enjoy four unique seasons, making it a popular destination for visitors regardless of the time of year. The spring and autumn months are warm, but the summer season can be hot and very humid. There are many days each year in which temperatures are well into the 90s. Residents rely on their local HVAC repair technician to regularly service their central air conditioners to stay cool throughout the season.

The winter months in the region are cool to cold. Low temperatures in January fall into the 20s on average. Sleet, ice, and snowfall are all possibilities, so residents should take care to invest in the right climate controls. A gas or electric furnace is a necessity when cold weather causes dangerous conditions both indoors and outdoors.
